God made flesh

Today we celebrate the greatest gift God has given to humanity: the birth of Jesus, God made man. The apostle John reminds us, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). Jesus came into the world not only as a humble child…

Verse of the day: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

Today we celebrate the greatest gift God has given to humanity: the birth of Jesus, God made man. The apostle John reminds us, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). Jesus came into the world not only as a humble child but as the incarnation of the eternal God, taking on human form to reconcile us with Him.

This moment is not just a historical event; it is the fulfillment of divine promises proclaimed in the Scriptures. In His birth, we see the evidence that God keeps His word and His love for us is unchanging. In Jesus, the “Mighty God” and “Prince of Peace,” we find hope, redemption, and eternal life. As we celebrate today, let us remember that the manger held not just a child but the Savior, Emmanuel: God with us. May His love and light transform our hearts and guide our steps every day.

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Lord, thank You that in Jesus, Your Son, we see Your glory and love revealed. Thank You for taking on human form to save us. Help us live in faith, worshiping Christ as our King and Savior. Amen.

“With hope and joy in Him, Along the Way with Him”
