“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16, NKJV). The Christian life is a constant battle between the Spirit and the flesh. Our human nature tends to lead us toward selfish and temporary desires, but God calls us to live guided by His Spirit. When we walk in the Spirit, our thoughts, words, and actions reflect the character of Christ. Living according to the Spirit means allowing God to direct our decisions, trusting in His power to overcome temptations, and surrendering daily to His will. It is not about human effort but about transformation that happens when we seek fellowship with Him through prayer, reading His Word, and obedience. If we want to overcome the flesh, it is not enough to resist its desires; we must be filled with the Spirit. In His presence, we find the strength to live according to His purpose. Are you walking in the Spirit, or are you allowing the desires of the flesh to dictate your life? Prayer: Lord, in Jesus’ name, help me walk in Your Spirit and not in the desires of the flesh. Fill me with Your presence and guide me in every step I take. May my life reflect Your love and holiness, and may my decisions align with Your will. Thank You, Lord, because in You I find strength and direction. Amen.
