“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, NIV).
Jesus never promised a life without difficulties, but He did assure us of His peace in the midst of them. Trials and afflictions are part of our journey in this world, but we must not fear because our confidence is not in circumstances but in the One who has overcome the world.
Christ’s victory gives us security. He has already defeated everything that could separate us from His love—sin, death, and adversity. When we face difficult moments, let’s remember that we are not alone. His peace sustains us, and His victory gives us the hope that, in Him, we are more than conquerors.
Where are you seeking peace? In circumstances or in Christ’s victory?
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Lord, in the midst of difficulties, help me to trust in Your victory and find peace in You. May my heart not be troubled but rest in the assurance of Your love and power. In Jesus’ name, amen.
“With hope and joy in him along the way with him”
