The Lamb of God
With these words, John the Baptist recognized Jesus as the fulfillment of God’s plan of redemption. Jesus is the perfect Lamb, offered as a sacrifice for our sins. His death on the cross and resurrection provide the way to eternal life…
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!’” (John 1:29, NIV).
With these words, John the Baptist recognized Jesus as the fulfillment of God’s plan of redemption. Jesus is the perfect Lamb, offered as a sacrifice for our sins. His death on the cross and resurrection provide the way to eternal life, freeing us from the weight of sin.
This verse reminds us of God’s immense love and the sacrifice He made for us. As we recognize Jesus as the Lamb of God, we are called to live in gratitude and obedience, sharing the message of salvation with others.
