Verse of the Day (NKJV): “and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.’” (Matthew 18:3–5)

Jesus, in His perfect wisdom, points to the child as the example of Kingdom greatness. He does not exalt knowledge or status, but a heart that is humble, dependent, and full of pure faith. Becoming like a child means approaching God with sincerity, trust, and openness.

True greatness in God’s Kingdom comes through humility. In a world that celebrates independence, Christ calls us to joyful dependence on the Father, trusting Him completely as a child trusts a loving parent.

Receiving a child in His name is receiving Christ Himself. It reflects a heart that values the vulnerable, and honors the image of God in others, no matter how small.

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, make my heart like that of a child: humble, trusting, and fully dependent on You. Deliver me from pride and teach me to love and receive others as You do. May my life reflect the simplicity and faith that pleases You. In the Name of our Lord Jesus, I thank You. Amen.
