Verse of the Day (KJV): “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.” Proverbs 29:25 Fear of man (whether fear of rejection, criticism, or opposition) is a trap that ensnares the heart. It can hold us back from obeying God, cause us to compromise our convictions, or silence our witness.
But the one who trusts in the Lord walks in freedom. Jesus is our perfect example: even in the face of mockery and betrayal, He trusted fully in the Father’s will (John 5:30). That same Spirit lives in us, empowering us to live boldly and faithfully. To trust in the Lord is to acknowledge His sovereignty, to rest in His justice, and to move forward knowing that He is our refuge and strength (Psalm 3:3). He lifts up the humble, those who walk in trust and truth (James 4:10).
Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for reminding me that human fear enslaves, but Your faithfulness sets me free. Help me to trust You at all times and not to be shaken by the opinions or threats of this world. Let me live in truth and boldness, anchored in Your Word. In the Name of our Lord Jesus, I thank You. Amen.
