In the beginning, when everything was chaos and darkness, the voice of God was heard: “Let there be light.” It wasn’t a suggestion or a wish; it was a divine command that brought order, direction, and life. This powerful declaration not only began creation but also shows how God works in our lives—His Word has the power to illuminate what is in darkness (Psalm 119:105).
Just as light was created by God’s command, we also receive light when we hear and believe His Word. In Jesus Christ, the true Light came into the world to overcome the darkness of sin and guide us in the way of truth (John 8:12). If today you feel confused, afraid, or uncertain, call upon the Lord. He is still saying, “Let there be light,” and His Holy Spirit brings clarity and peace to those who seek Him (2 Corinthians 4:6).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my light in the midst of darkness. Speak to my heart as You did in the beginning, and let Your truth shine in every part of my life. I surrender my doubts, my fears, and my ways to You. Guide me by Your glorious light, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
