This verse assures us that in Christ we lack nothing. Everything required for life and godliness has already been given by God’s divine power. It is not by our strength or merit, but by His grace revealed through knowing Jesus, who called us by His glory and goodness.
The Christian life is not sustained by human effort, but by the finished work of Christ. He equips us to overcome sin, walk in holiness, and reflect God’s glory. As Jesus Himself said: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5, NIV).
In Christ, we have fullness. His death and resurrection secure our access to abundant life and empower us to live according to His will. This is not a distant promise, but a present reality: we have already received everything we need in Him.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because in Christ I have everything I need for life and godliness. Help me to rest in Your provision and to remain in Jesus, the true vine. May my life reflect Your glory and goodness in all I think, speak, and do. In Jesus’ name, Amen
