The Presence of God, Our Security
Moses understood that no achievement, victory, or blessing would have meaning if God’s presence was not with His people. More than the promised land or any benefit, what gave true security and purpose was walking under the Lord’s guidance.
Verse of the Day: “Then Moses said to him, ‘If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.’” Exodus 33:15 NIV
Moses understood that no achievement, victory, or blessing would have meaning if God’s presence was not with His people. More than the promised land or any benefit, what gave true security and purpose was walking under the Lord’s guidance.
This verse reminds us that real life is not found in what we own or accomplish, but in being in communion with God. Jesus confirmed this truth when He said: “I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). God’s presence in our lives is revealed through Christ, who dwells in us by the Holy Spirit.
Walking with Christ is the assurance that, even in the midst of uncertainty or wilderness, we are not alone. The difference is not made by the place or circumstances, but by His living presence within us. In Him alone we find peace, direction, and victory. Prayer:
Abba Father, thank You because in Christ Jesus You have given me Your constant presence. I don’t want to move forward without You, for I know You are my guide, my refuge, and my strength. Teach me to depend on You at all times and to recognize that Your presence is the most valuable gift in my life. I present this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
