Verse of the Day: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 NIV

This passage clearly reveals what God expects from His people. It is not about empty rituals or external sacrifices but about a transformed life that reflects His character. To act justly means to live according to God’s truth, defending what is right in all we do. To love mercy is to reflect the love of Christ, who forgave us and taught us to forgive. And to walk humbly with God is to recognize our total dependence on Him, living in obedience and humility.

Jesus perfectly fulfilled these three dimensions: He acted justly by fully obeying the Father, showed mercy by giving His life for us, and humbled Himself to the point of death on the cross (Philippians 2:8). In Him, we find the perfect model of how to please God, and through His Spirit, we are empowered to live this calling.

The Christian life is not about outward religiosity but about a living faith expressed in justice, mercy, and humility. When we live this way, we honor Christ and bear witness to His grace in the world.

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because in Your Word You show me what is good and pleasing to You. Teach me to live justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before You, following the example of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ. I present this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
