Verse of the Day: “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” Ephesians 1:7 NIV
This verse reveals an absolute truth: redemption and forgiveness that come only through the blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross, He paid the full price for our spiritual freedom. To redeem means to rescue, to set free—and that is exactly what Christ did: He purchased us with His life to make us children of the Father (1 Peter 1:18–19).
Forgiveness is not symbolic or temporary; it is an eternal reality sealed by the blood of the Son of God. Every sin, every guilt, every stain was cleansed when Jesus declared, “It is finished” (John 19:30). We are no longer under condemnation because His sacrifice was perfect and complete (Romans 8:1–2). All this happens “in accordance with the riches of His grace.” It is not by our works but by God’s infinite generosity. His grace not only forgives but transforms. In Christ, we find a freedom the world cannot offer, for He reconciled us to the Father and gave us a new identity—redeemed and forever loved (Colossians 1:13–14).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for the redemption I have in Christ Jesus. Thank You because His blood has cleansed, forgiven, and set me free. Teach me to live each day remembering the price of Your grace and to walk in the freedom Your Son has won for me. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
