These words are a divine call to courage and perseverance. After experiencing anguish and persecution, the psalmist ends his prayer by encouraging all who place their hope in God. Genuine faith does not remove pain, but it gives us strength to endure it. To wait on the Lord is not passive resignation but active trust in His faithfulness (Isaiah 40:31).
The courage that comes from God is not based on emotion but on conviction. It flows from knowing that He is with us, even when the outcome seems far away. Every time the soul grows weary, the Holy Spirit whispers, “Take heart; I am with you” (Joshua 1:9; John 16:33). The constant presence of the Lord enables us to stand firm and move forward in faith.
The believer’s strength and courage do not depend on the absence of battles but on the assurance that God fights for us. His love sustains us when human strength fails. In Christ, we find the courage to endure, the hope to continue, and the peace that renews the weary heart. Waiting on the Lord is never in vain—He always fulfills His Word.

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because Your presence gives me courage and strength. Even in difficult moments, I know Your faithfulness sustains me. Renew my strength and hope as I wait on You. Teach me to trust in Your timing and walk by faith, knowing that You never fail. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
