Verse of the Day: “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” Proverbs 11:25 KJV
Generosity is not merely an external action; it is a condition of the soul. God promises prosperity—not only material but holistic—to those whose hearts are willing to give. The generosity that pleases the Lord flows from a spirit transformed by His grace, because it recognizes that everything we have comes from Him (1 Chronicles 29:14).
“He that watereth shall be watered also himself” reminds us that divine blessing is never one-sided. When we refresh others—lifting their burdens, meeting a need, or bringing comfort—God Himself restores and fills the empty places in our hearts. He satisfies with peace, joy, provision, purpose, favor, and renewed strength. Nothing sown in love remains without fruit in the Kingdom (2 Corinthians 9:6–8).
Generosity reflects the character of Christ, who gave Himself completely to give us life. When we give with love, we participate in the very spirit of Jesus. He calls us to be fountains that refresh, hands that lift, words that encourage, and hearts willing to share what we have received. The soul that pours out blessing never runs empty, because God Himself fills it (Luke 6:38).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for teaching me the beauty of a generous heart. Make my life a channel of blessing to others. Fill my soul with Your love so I may give with joy, and satisfy every need I bring before You. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
