Verse of the Day: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” Ephesians 6:18 KJV

After describing the “armor of God,” Paul concludes with this essential instruction: pray at all times. Prayer is not an accessory of the believer but the very breath of spiritual life. Standing firm against darkness does not depend on our strength but on a life connected to the Spirit—where every thought, decision, and battle is brought before God (Philippians 4:6–7).

“With all prayer and supplication” teaches us that prayer has depth and variety: worship, intercession, petition, gratitude, confession, silence, surrender. We do not pray from routine but from the Spirit, who helps us in our weakness, intercedes for us, and guides every word we lift to the Father (Romans 8:26–27).

Paul also calls us to “watch” with perseverance. To watch means to stay awake, attentive, persistent, and unwavering. Persevering prayer opens doors, strengthens hearts, lifts burdens, breaks chains, supports others, and brings to pass what only God can accomplish. When we pray for “all the saints,” we join the work of the Kingdom—supporting brothers, churches, and servants around the world (James 5:16).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, teach me to pray at all times and to depend on Your Spirit in every moment. Awaken in me a persevering heart—attentive to Your voice and faithful in intercession for others. May my life be a continuous prayer before You. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
