Verse of the day: “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ” (Galatians 1:10, NKJV). This verse reminds us of the importance of placing God at the center of our decisions and priorities. As followers of Christ, we cannot live seeking the approval of others, because our loyalty and obedience belong to the Lord. Jesus Himself taught that no one can serve two masters (Matthew 6:24), and faithfulness to God often requires us to go against the expectations of the world.

Pleasing God means making choices based on His truth and will, even when it is neither easy nor popular. In the life of Jesus, we see the perfect example: He lived to fulfill the mission of the Father, regardless of the opposition He faced. His life was a reflection of absolute obedience and love for God. Today, reflect: Are there areas in your life where you seek to please people more than God? Ask Him for wisdom, courage, and a heart willing to live according to His will, remembering that serving Him is the greatest honor we can have.

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus, I thank You for reminding me that I am called to please You and not men. Help me to keep You at the center of my life, to make decisions based on Your truth, and to remain faithful to Your calling, even when it is difficult. Strengthen my faith and make me a servant who glorifies You in all I do. Amen.
