Verse of the day: “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14, NIV). This verse calls us to live a life that reflects the character of God. Striving for peace with everyone means avoiding unnecessary conflicts and seeking reconciliation, love, and understanding, even in the midst of differences. Peace is a defining mark of a follower of Christ, who taught us to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9).
Holiness, on the other hand, is about separating ourselves from sin and dedicating ourselves to God. It is not something we can achieve on our own but through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Holiness aligns us with God’s will and prepares us to stand in His presence.
Both peace and holiness are essential in our relationship with God and others. Prayer: Abba Father, in the name of Your beloved Son Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, I ask You to help me seek peace with those around me. Teach me to be a peacemaker and to reflect Your love in my relationships. I also ask You to work in my heart to lead me into a life of holiness. Help me to walk in obedience, turning away from sin and dedicating myself fully to You. Thank You for the peace and direction I find in You. Amen.
