“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?” (Matthew 18:12, NKJV).

This verse reveals God’s deep love for each of us. He is not a distant God who only cares for those who stay close to Him but a loving Father who actively seeks those who have wandered away. Jesus uses this parable to show us His commitment to rescuing and restoring every lost soul.

Just as the shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to find the lost sheep, God never abandons us, no matter how far we have gone. His love is relentless, and His grace reaches us even in our most lost moments.

Perhaps you have felt lost at times, but this passage reminds us that God is always seeking us, calling us back to His flock. And when He finds us, there is no condemnation—only joy and restoration. Do you feel like you have drifted away from God? Today is the time to listen to His voice and allow Him to bring you back into His love and care.

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus, thank You for never stopping Your pursuit of me, even when I have strayed. Thank You for Your unending love and for calling me back to You. Help me to remain in Your flock, to trust in Your guidance, and to share this same love with others. I surrender my life to You, knowing that in You, I always find safety. Amen.

“With hope and joy in Him, Along the Way with Him”.
