Sharpened in Fellowship

This proverb teaches us the value of companionship and edifying relationships. Just as iron needs another piece of iron to be sharpened, we need others to grow, be corrected, encouraged, and strengthened in our daily and spiritual walk…

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17, NIV).

This proverb teaches us the value of companionship and edifying relationships. Just as iron needs another piece of iron to be sharpened, we need others to grow, be corrected, encouraged, and strengthened in our daily and spiritual walk.. Healthy relationships help us become better. In community, we learn humility, patience, and love—and we are also challenged to grow. It is through interactions with others that God shapes us and prepares us for His purpose.

Are you surrounded by people who help you grow in your faith and character? Are you also a positive influence in the lives of others?

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life to help me grow. Help me be a vessel of encouragement and growth for others as well. May our relationships glorify Your name and draw us closer to You. Amen.

“With hope and joy in Him along the way with Him”
