Justified by the Blood of Christ

This verse takes us to the very heart of the Gospel: God offered Jesus as a sacrifice, not just as a teacher or example, but as an atoning sacrifice—the means by which sin is forgiven and divine justice is fulfilled.

“God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.”.(Romans 3:25, NIV).

This verse takes us to the very heart of the Gospel: God offered Jesus as a sacrifice, not just as a teacher or example, but as an atoning sacrifice—the means by which sin is forgiven and divine justice is fulfilled.

Salvation is not something we earn by our efforts—it is a gift received through faith in the blood of Christ, shed on the cross. That blood was not merely a symbol of suffering—it was the price of our redemption, the seal of God’s love and perfect righteousness.

In His patience, God had withheld judgment for past sins, but at the cross He dealt with them fully and finally. There, in Jesus, love and justice met, and forgiveness was opened to all who believe.

Are you living in gratitude for Christ’s sacrifice? Have you placed your faith not in your own efforts, but in His redeeming blood?.

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for giving me Your beloved only Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for my sins. Give me discernment to understand the worth of His shed blood, and to live in gratitude and humility for such a great salvation. I lift this prayer with thanksgiving and ask for Your help to live by faith, trusting only in Your grace. In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
