God Is Doing a New Thing!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18–19, NIV)
This passage is a powerful invitation from God to let go of the past and open our eyes to what He is doing right now. Sometimes, our memories of failure, pain, or even past victories can keep us stuck. But God says: “Look! I’m at work today!”
He specializes in turning deserts into pathways and dry places into flowing streams. His work doesn’t depend on circumstances, but on His redeeming power. Where there seems to be no way, He is already making one.
Jesus came to fulfill this promise in us: a new creation, a fresh start, a life renewed by the Holy Spirit.
Are you holding on to the past? Are you willing to trust that God is already doing something new, even if you don’t fully see it yet?
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for giving me Your beloved only Son, Jesus, for my salvation. Today I release the past and choose to trust in the new thing You are doing. Open my eyes to see Your paths in the wilderness. I lift this prayer with thanksgiving. In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
