“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5–6 NKJV).
This passage reminds us that the life of a believer is not built on self-reliance or human wisdom, but on wholehearted trust in the Lord. Trusting “with all your heart” means surrendering completely to His will, knowing He is faithful to guide us on straight paths. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the perfect example of trust in the Father. In every step of His ministry—from Gethsemane to the cross—He acknowledged the Father’s will above His own. We, as His followers, are called to depend on God, even when we don’t understand the path He chooses for us.
God promises to make our paths straight when we acknowledge Him in all our ways. This takes faith, humility, and a willing heart to obey, remembering that His wisdom is higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, help me to trust in You with all my heart, and not lean on my own understanding. Teach me to acknowledge Your hand in every area of my life, and guide me along straight paths according to Your perfect will.
In the Name of our Lord Jesus, I thank You. Amen.
