Filled with the Spirit, Bold and Empowered
After facing threats for preaching Christ, the disciples didn’t retreat—they prayed together. God responded with power: the place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.
Verse of the Day (KJV): “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” (Acts 4:31)
After facing threats for preaching Christ, the disciples didn’t retreat—they prayed together. God responded with power: the place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.
This moment reveals the power of united prayer and the result of being filled with the Spirit: boldness to proclaim the Word of God. Just as the Spirit came with fire at Pentecost (Acts 2:4), He again empowered His people to fulfill His mission.
Today, the Church needs believers who live Spirit-filled lives and speak truth with love and courage—not in human strength, but by the power of God (Zechariah 4:6).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for the power of Your Holy Spirit. Fill me as You filled Your servants that day, and give me boldness to speak Your Word with truth and without fear. Make me sensitive to Your presence and faithful to Your call.
