Verse of the Day (KJV): “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
This verse points to the glorious climax of God’s redemptive plan: a new creation where God will dwell with His people, and all suffering will be no more. It’s a promise for those redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, whose names are written in the Book of Life (Revelation 21:27).
Christ conquered sin and death at the cross, and His resurrection secures this glorious hope. The Christian faith is not only a present comfort—it is our eternal assurance. On that day, there will be no more goodbyes, no more disease, no more silent tears. God Himself will wipe them away, one by one, as a loving Father who restores His children.
As we wait for that day, we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), who promised to return and make all things new (Revelation 21:5).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for the promise of a new heaven and a new earth where there will be no more pain or death. Thank You that this hope is secure in Christ. Help me live each day with my eyes on the eternal, trusting in Your perfect love. In the Name of our Lord Jesus, I thank You. Amen.
