My Life for His Glory
The apostle Paul expresses a deep commitment to the mission entrusted to him. He did not live for himself, but to finish the race with joy and to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.
Verse of the Day (NKJV): “But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24
The apostle Paul expresses a deep commitment to the mission entrusted to him. He did not live for himself, but to finish the race with joy and to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.
The verse shows a mature faith rooted in the transforming power of grace. Paul knew that his life only had true meaning when lived for the glory of Christ (Philippians 1:21).
We, too, have received a mission: to share the gospel and to walk in obedience until the end (2 Timothy 4:7). And we do this not by our strength, but by the grace that God provides daily (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for giving me Your beloved Son Jesus for my salvation. Help me live not for myself, but to fulfill with joy the purpose You have entrusted to me.
May my whole life testify to the gospel of the grace that saved me. I present this prayer with thanksgiving and ask for Your help, in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
