In His Perfect Time

Humbling ourselves before God is not weakness, but a bold act of trust in His sovereignty. When we place ourselves under His mighty hand, we acknowledge that His will is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2).

Verse of the Day (NKJV): “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:6‬

Humbling ourselves before God is not weakness, but a bold act of trust in His sovereignty. When we place ourselves under His mighty hand, we acknowledge that His will is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2).

Peter wrote these words to believers facing suffering. His encouragement does not dismiss pain, but directs our eyes to the living hope in Christ. God’s promise to exalt is not about human praise, but about fulfilling His eternal purpose in us.

God’s timing never fails. He lifts up those who honor Him—at the right moment (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Our role is to trust, obey, and walk in humility, knowing His grace sustains us (James 4:6). Prayer: Heavenly Father, I humble myself under Your mighty hand, letting go of pride and self-reliance. I trust in Your perfect timing and eternal plans. Thank You that in Christ I am upheld, led, and redeemed. Exalt me, Lord, when it is Your will.

In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
