Verse of the Day (NKJV): “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:6‬‬

This verse clearly draws a contrast between two ways of living: one driven by the desires of the flesh —which lead to separation from God— and the other led by the Spirit, which brings life and peace. This isn’t an external battle, but an inward transformation that happens when we are born again in Christ (John 3:5–6).

To be spiritually minded is to live in communion with God, attentive to His Word and obedient to His voice. It means allowing the Holy Spirit to shape us, strengthen us, and fill us with the life that only He can give (Galatians 5:16–17). When we surrender our hearts and minds to God, we experience peace that surpasses all understanding, because it comes not from the world, but from Christ Himself (Philippians 4:7; John 14:27).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Lord, thank You for giving me new life in Christ. Today I choose to set my mind on the things of the Spirit. Lead me in Your ways and fill my heart with Your peace. Let my thoughts remain in You, so I may live according to Your will. In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
