Verse of the Day (NKJV): “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverbs 9:10 True wisdom begins not with academic knowledge or personal experience, but with a reverent fear of the Lord. To fear God is to acknowledge His holiness, submit to His authority, and trust in His guidance. When we approach Him with awe and humility, our hearts are opened to His instruction.
Godly wisdom transforms how we live. It is not boastful or self-seeking, but pure and peace-loving. As James 3:17 teaches: “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” When we truly know God, not just intellectually but relationally, we gain understanding that directs our decisions, our relationships, and our calling.
May we walk in reverence before our God, guided by the wisdom that flows from His Spirit, and in the footsteps of His Son, Jesus, along the path of life.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Lord, teach me to fear You with a heart full of reverence. Help me seek Your wisdom above all things. May I walk in truth, gentleness, and peace, trusting You in every step. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
