The Assurance of Faith

Verse of the Day (NKJV): “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:24‬

Jesus teaches us that prayer must be accompanied by faith. It is not a magical formula, but a living relationship with the Father. The key is to pray with trust in His power and in accordance with His will (1 John 5:14). God does not respond to unbelief, but to genuine faith that flows from a humble heart fully dependent on Him.

Believing that we have received what we ask for does not mean denying our present reality, but affirming our trust in the faithful character of God. Sometimes the answer is immediate, other times it’s a process, and in some cases, the answer differs from what we expected. But when we pray in Jesus’ name and according to His purpose, we can be assured that He will act for our good (Romans 8:28).

This verse reminds us that prayer is not just about asking—it’s about trusting. Faith is not based on what we see, but on who hears us: our heavenly Father, who knows our needs and loves us deeply (Matthew 6:8).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the privilege of coming to You in prayer. Teach me to pray with faith, trusting in Your power and goodness. May each request come from a heart surrendered to Your will. Increase my faith, and help me wait with hope and gratitude. In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
