The apostle Paul calls us to lift our gaze and fix our hearts on what is eternal. We live in a world full of distractions, worries, and fleeting desires. But as believers, we have been raised with Christ and called to live by a new reality—the Kingdom of God (Colossians 3:1).
Setting our minds on things above doesn’t mean neglecting earthly responsibilities, but rather living with a heavenly perspective. It means valuing what God values, seeking His will above our own, and walking in the Spirit (Matthew 6:33; Romans 12:2).
When we see through the lens of eternity, we understand that our time on earth is temporary and that true riches are found in Christ. This perspective transforms our decisions, our priorities, and our relationships, allowing us to live with purpose and hope.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Lord, I lift my eyes to You. Help me live each day with my heart fixed on eternity. Teach me to value what You value and to walk according to Your will.
Abba Father, we offer this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
