Persevering in Doing Good
The apostle Paul urges us not to grow weary in doing good, even when the results are not immediate. Living for Christ means sowing love, mercy, and righteousness, trusting that God is faithful to reward in His perfect timing (Hebrews 6:10).
Verse of the Day: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
The apostle Paul urges us not to grow weary in doing good, even when the results are not immediate. Living for Christ means sowing love, mercy, and righteousness, trusting that God is faithful to reward in His perfect timing (Hebrews 6:10).
Doing good is not based on circumstances or on whether others appreciate it; it is a response of gratitude and obedience to God, reflecting the character of Jesus in our actions. Our Lord’s example teaches us that every act of kindness, no matter how small, has eternal value (Matthew 25:40).
The promised harvest is not always earthly or immediate. Often, the fruit will be seen in transformed lives, in souls reached for Christ, and ultimately, in the eternal glory that awaits us. That is why we must not give up but persevere in faith and obedience, knowing that our labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Lord, give me strength not to grow weary in doing good. Help me to sow with love and patience, trusting that Your timing is perfect. Abba Father, we offer this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
