God’s goodness is unchanging; it is His eternal nature. The prophet Nahum declares that the Lord is a stronghold in times of trouble and that He knows those who trust in Him. This truth is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. He said, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me” (John 10:14), affirming His personal and constant care. Moreover, Jesus invited us, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). What Nahum announced centuries before becomes real in Christ, our sure refuge.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You because in You I find rest and strength. You know me, You sustain me, and You guide me in every moment of trouble. Help me to live in confidence of Your goodness and to always seek refuge in You. Amen.
