Verse of the day: “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Acts 20:35 (NIV). Jesus teaches us that true joy is not found in accumulating, but in sharing. He lived this truth—though He is the Son of God, He did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45). Giving is not just an act of material generosity; it is an expression of love that reflects the very character of Christ. When we help others, we join in God’s work, bringing hope and light to those in need.
Christian generosity does not depend on how much we have, but on a heart transformed by Jesus. Just as He gave us everything—His time, His love, and His sacrifice—we are also called to live to serve, trusting that God will provide for our needs.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for teaching me that giving is both a privilege and a blessing. Help me follow Jesus’ example, loving without expecting anything in return and trusting that You are my faithful provider. May my hands and my heart always be ready to serve and bless others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
