Wisdom Shown in Humility
True wisdom is not measured by accumulated knowledge or eloquent words but by the way we live. James reminds us that wisdom from above is reflected in conduct marked by humility and service (Proverbs 11:2).
Verse of the Day: “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.” James 3:13 NIV
True wisdom is not measured by accumulated knowledge or eloquent words but by the way we live. James reminds us that wisdom from above is reflected in conduct marked by humility and service (Proverbs 11:2).
The world often associates wisdom with pride or superiority, but in God’s Kingdom it is the opposite: wisdom is evident in gentleness, patience, and love. Jesus Himself, the Son of God, taught us that to be wise is to serve and humble oneself, obeying even to death (Philippians 2:5–8).
Living with wisdom means allowing the Holy Spirit to shape Christlike character in us. Every deed carried out in humility glorifies the Father and testifies that we act not out of vanity but by grace. In this way, divine wisdom becomes a light that guides others toward the truth (Matthew 5:16).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for the wisdom that comes from above and is shown in humility and good works. Help me reflect Christ in my daily conduct and live not for my glory but for Yours. May my actions be a living testimony of Your truth and grace. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
