The Lord Is with You, Mighty Warrior

Verse of the Day: “When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, ‘The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.’” Judges 6:12 NIV
When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he did not feel strong or brave. He was hiding, fearful, and full of doubt. Yet God did not call him by what he was in that moment but by what He would make of him. The Lord sees the potential we have not yet realized, for His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Gideon’s identity was transformed not by human courage but by the Lord’s presence. The same truth applies to us: we are not defined by fear, past failures, or insecurity, but by the God who calls and equips us to fulfill His purpose. When He calls us “mighty warrior,” He is declaring what His grace can produce in those who believe (Romans 8:37).
God’s calling does not depend on self-confidence but on faith in His presence. He promises, “I will be with you.” That was Gideon’s assurance—and it is ours today. In Christ, we are strengthened, equipped, and transformed to face every battle. No matter how small our strength may seem, if the Lord is with us, victory is certain (Philippians 4:13).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because Your presence gives me courage when I feel weak. Help me to see myself as You see me, not as my fears define me. Teach me to trust in Your power and to walk with the assurance that You are with me in every battle. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
