Fixing Our Eyes on the Eternal
In this passage, the apostle Paul invites us to change our perspective. To live by faith means to look beyond appearances and trust in what God has promised, His glory, His eternal purpose remains forever (Romans 8:18).
Verse of the Day: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18 NIV

The believer learns not to measure hope by what the senses perceive but by the faithfulness of the Lord. Faith teaches us to see with the eyes of the heart, to stand firm in the eternal when the visible world falls apart. What once looked like defeat becomes the very stage for Christ’s power to be revealed (2 Corinthians 12:9–10).
Fixing our eyes on the unseen means living with a heavenly purpose in a passing world. It is understanding that every momentary affliction produces for us an eternal weight of glory. Therefore, while what is visible changes, the believer remains confident, knowing that his destiny is secure in Christ Jesus (Hebrews 11:1).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for teaching me to see beyond what my eyes can perceive. Help me to trust in Your promises and to live focused on what is eternal. May my faith rest not on circumstances but on Your unchanging truth. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
