The God Who Remains Faithful
God’s faithfulness does not change with our circumstances. He remains steadfast, fulfills His Word, and never forgets those He has called to walk with Him.
Know, then, that the Lord your God is God—the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him and obey His commandments, through a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9 · English rendering
Moses reminded the people of Israel that the Lord had not chosen them because they were stronger or more important than other nations, but because He loved them and remained faithful to the covenant He had established. His mercy did not depend on human merit, but on His own character: He is the faithful God.
We also experience moments when it is difficult to understand what is happening. We may feel that answers are delayed, our strength is fading, or the road ahead has become uncertain. Yet Abba Father’s faithfulness cannot be measured by what we see in a single day. His love endures through time, and His mercy reaches far beyond what we can imagine.
In Jesus Christ, we find the greatest confirmation of that faithfulness. Abba Father fulfilled His promise of salvation by sending His beloved Son. Jesus carried our sin on the cross, conquered death, and opened the way to a new life. In Him, we understand that obeying God is not a way to purchase His love, but a grateful response to the love we have already received.
Today, we can rest in this truth: although we change and our circumstances change, God remains faithful. We can trust His Word, walk in obedience, and tell future generations about the wonders of His mercy.

Abba Father, thank You because You are the faithful God and Your mercy endures through every generation. Help me trust Your Word when I do not understand the path and respond to Your love with obedience. May my life tell others about Your faithfulness, and may future generations know the wonders You have done. In the name of Your beloved Son Jesus, amen.
