Free to Serve in Love
The freedom Christ gives us is not a license to live selfishly, but a divine opportunity to walk in the Spirit and serve others in love. We were set free from sin so we could live in love—not in self-indulgence.
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” (Galatians 5:13, NIV).
The freedom Christ gives us is not a license to live selfishly, but a divine opportunity to walk in the Spirit and serve others in love. We were set free from sin so we could live in love—not in self-indulgence.
Jesus, though the Son of God, used His freedom to serve. He washed His disciples’ feet, healed the rejected, and gave His life on the cross. His freedom wasn’t for personal gain, but to glorify the Father and bless others.
When we use our freedom to love and serve, we reflect Christ. We obey not out of duty but from love. That is true freedom: a life surrendered, building others up in the love of God.

Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for giving me Your beloved only Son, Jesus, for my salvation. Give me discernment to use my freedom not for myself, but to serve You and others with sincere love. I lift this prayer with thanksgiving and ask for Your help to live as a true servant of Yours. In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
