Thomas represents the human struggle with doubt. Even after walking with Jesus, he refused to believe in the resurrection until he saw Him with his own eyes. But Jesus honors those who believe without seeing those who trust based on His Word and the witness of the Spirit.
This verse does not condemn honest doubt but lifts up the kind of faith that rests in God’s truth without visible evidence. As Hebrews 11:1 reminds us: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
To believe without seeing is to anchor our lives in the faithfulness of Christ, knowing that through Him we have eternal life (John 3:16).

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me blessed even though I have not seen You. I believe in You by the faith You have given me, and I rest in Your living Word. Strengthen my faith and help me walk trusting in Your promises. In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
