“Seek those things which are above…”
This verse reminds us of our new identity in Christ. Having been raised with Him, we are called to live with a heavenly perspective, focusing our thoughts and actions on what is eternal, not on what is earthly.
Verse of the day: “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.” (Colossians 3:1 (NKJV)).
This verse reminds us of our new identity in Christ. Having been raised with Him, we are called to live with a heavenly perspective, focusing our thoughts and actions on what is eternal, not on what is earthly.
“Seek those things which are above” means prioritizing what pleases God: love, righteousness, obedience, and fellowship with Him. It challenges us to align our lives with His purpose and to remember that our true citizenship is in heaven, where Christ reigns with authority at the right hand of God.
Today, let us reflect: Are we living as people raised with Christ? Are we seeking what glorifies God, or are we distracted by the fleeting things of this world? Let this day be an opportunity to set our hearts on what is eternal and to live in a way that reflects our hope in Christ.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for giving us new life in Christ. Help us to always seek the things above, to live with an eternal perspective, and to glorify You in all that we do. Renew our focus and teach us to walk as Your children, with our hearts set on You. Amen. “With hope and joy in Him, Along the Way with Him”
