Strength and Courage in God
God gave this command to Joshua as he was about to lead the people of Israel into the Promised Land. It was not just a suggestion but a divine mandate: to be strong and courageous because God’s presence was his guarantee of success.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, NIV).
