Temple of the Living God
This verse reminds us of a glorious and life-changing truth: we are not alone—God dwells in us. As believers in Christ, we are temples of the Holy Spirit, a holy place where His presence lives and is revealed.
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?” (1 Corinthians 3:16, NIV).
This verse reminds us of a glorious and life-changing truth: we are not alone—God dwells in us. As believers in Christ, we are temples of the Holy Spirit, a holy place where His presence lives and is revealed.
Jesus promised that after ascending to the Father, He would send the Comforter—the Holy Spirit. And He did. From Pentecost until today, His Spirit doesn’t just guide from the outside, but dwells within every child of God.
Knowing that we are God’s temple means living with reverence, with awareness of His presence at all times, and with the responsibility to reflect His holiness in our daily lives. It’s not about a physical building—it’s about a heart that is surrendered and set apart.
Are you living as someone who carries the presence of the living God within? Does your life reflect that you are a temple of the Holy Spirit?
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for giving me Your beloved only Son, Jesus, for my salvation. Give me discernment to live as a temple of Your Spirit—aware of Your presence and with a heart set apart for You. I lift this prayer with thanksgiving and ask for Your guidance each day.
In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
