You Are Mine
This powerful message from God to His people still echoes today. It speaks of an intimate and personal relationship—not a distant God, but the One who created us, formed us, redeemed us, and calls us by name.
“But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’” (Isaiah 43:1, NIV)
This powerful message from God to His people still echoes today. It speaks of an intimate and personal relationship—not a distant God, but the One who created us, formed us, redeemed us, and calls us by name.
The redemption God gives is more than a rescue—it’s a declaration of belonging: “You are mine.” These words bring comfort in times of fear, doubt, or loneliness. No matter what we face, we can remember that we belong to the Lord, and He faithfully watches over what is His.
Jesus, as the perfect fulfillment of this promise, redeemed us by His blood and gives us a new identity as beloved children of the Father.
Are you living with the assurance that you belong to God? Are you letting His redeeming love define your identity?
Today’s prayer
Prayer:
Abba Father, thank You for giving me Your beloved only Son, Jesus, for my salvation. Thank You for redeeming me, calling me by name, and declaring that I am Yours. Help me live with confidence in Your love, without fear, knowing I belong to You. I lift this prayer with thanksgiving.
In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
