From the very beginning, God established a sacred rhythm of work and rest. The seventh day wasn’t just the end of creation—it was a sign: a blessed and holy day, set apart by the Creator Himself to remind us that life is sustained not by our efforts, but by His provision.
When God rested, it wasn’t from exhaustion, but to give us an example. By sanctifying the seventh day, He taught us that rest is not laziness, but obedience, worship, and renewal.
Jesus affirmed this when He said the Sabbath was made for man (Mark 2:27). And now, living under grace, we find our true rest in Him (Matthew 11:28)—not only on one day of the week, but every time we trust in His finished work.

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for giving me Your beloved only Son, Jesus, for my salvation. Thank You that in You I find true rest. Help me to live with balance, to honor Your intelligent design, and to set time apart to be with You. I lift this prayer with thanksgiving.
