Mercy is more than compassion; it is a reflection of God’s own nature. Those who have received His forgiveness are called to extend it to others. Jesus taught that the measure we use will be measured back to us (Matthew 7:2), and that forgiving others is a response to the forgiveness we ourselves have received (Matthew 6:14-15).
To be merciful is not a sign of weakness, but of spiritual maturity. It means choosing grace over revenge, compassion over judgment, love over indifference. And those who live with merciful hearts will surely obtain mercy from God.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your undeserved mercy. Teach me to reflect that mercy to others. Help me to forgive, to be compassionate, and to walk in grace. May my life point to Your kindness. In the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
