Jesus warns us that His return will be unexpected. This is not about living in fear but about having an active faith and a willing heart, walking in daily obedience to His Word. Preparation is not a one-time event, but a lifestyle that reflects our hope in Him and our commitment to His Kingdom.
In Matthew 24:44, the Lord repeats this same call, showing that spiritual vigilance is essential. Remaining steadfast in Christ means praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), living in holiness (1 Peter 1:15-16), and proclaiming the Gospel, knowing that at any moment He will fulfill His promise to return.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us live each day ready for the return of Your Son. May our thoughts, words, and actions be led by Your Holy Spirit, and may we not be distracted by what is temporary. Abba Father, we offer this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
