Verse of the Day: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” John 14:1 NIV
Jesus spoke these words during the Last Supper, just before His passion. He knew His disciples would face confusion, sorrow, and fear, but He also wanted to leave them a promise of peace and trust. He did not simply tell them to stop worrying; He gave them the foundation for peace: trust in God the Father and in Himself.
Christ is the answer to our uncertainties. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Trusting in Him means placing our hope entirely in His love and in His redemptive work on the cross. Faith in Jesus gives us the assurance that we are not alone and that He has prepared a place for us in the Father’s eternal presence.
The invitation of Jesus is clear: when trials and troubles come, we must not remain trapped in fear but rest in the faithfulness of the One who overcame the world (John 16:33). In Him we find the strength to face each day with peace and with the certainty that His love endures forever.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because in Christ Jesus I find the peace my heart longs for. Help me to trust fully in You in times of trouble and to rest in the promises of Your beloved Son. I present this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
