Verse of the Day: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2 NIV
The apostle Paul exhorts us not to conform to the patterns of this world. We live in a society that dictates values and standards contrary to God’s truth, but believers are called to an inner process of transformation: the renewing of the mind.
This renewal does not come from human strength but from the work of the Holy Spirit, who, through the Word, shapes our thoughts and desires according to Christ (Ephesians 4:23–24). Jesus Himself prayed to the Father: “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth” (John 17:17). A renewed mind is therefore a Christ-centered mind that discerns and embraces God’s perfect will.
Living in Christ allows us to experience this ongoing transformation. It is not about external reform but about a deep change that produces visible fruit in how we think, speak, and act.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because in Christ Jesus You have given me new life. Renew my mind with Your Word and guide me by Your Holy Spirit to discern Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. May my thoughts and actions always glorify Your beloved Son. I present this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
