In this passage, Jesus reminds us that God listens and responds to those who come to Him in faith. It is not only about asking for things but about seeking Him with all our hearts and knocking at the door of His grace. As it is written: “He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous” (Matthew 5:45, NIV), our Father shows His goodness even to those who do not yet acknowledge Him.
This patient love leads us to reflect: if God opens His hands in mercy to everyone, how much more will He lovingly respond to those who truly seek Him. He is waiting for us to know Him, to enter His presence, and to understand that His answer, even when not what we expect, is always perfect.
Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You because Your love is so great that it reaches both the good and the evil, and Your patience teaches me to trust in Your timing. Teach me to ask in faith, to seek You sincerely, and to knock tirelessly at the door of Your grace. I want to know You more each day and rest in Your goodness. Abba Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus, help me remember that You are patient and always waiting for me to come to You. May my life reflect gratitude and trust in Your promises. Amen.
