Verse of the Day: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 NIV
This verse reveals the compassion and nearness of God, who never ignores human pain. The Lord does not remain distant from those who suffer; He draws near to the brokenhearted and lifts those who have lost hope. In the midst of tears, His presence becomes comfort, and His voice becomes a promise of restoration (Psalm 147:3).
Christ Himself knew pain and rejection. On the cross, He carried our suffering and promised to be with us “always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). That is why the believer never faces brokenness alone. Jesus is near—sustaining the one who weeps, renewing the one who feels weak, and transforming pain into living hope (2 Corinthians 1:3–4).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because You are always near—especially when I need You the most. In the midst of sorrow, Your love sustains me and Your Spirit comforts me. Heal my wounds, renew my spirit, and let me experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
