Verse of the Day: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 NIV

These words from the apostle Paul capture the very essence of the gospel and the believer’s identity in Christ. To be “crucified with Christ” means that our old self—ruled by sin, pride, and self-reliance—has been nailed to the cross. We no longer live according to our own desires but according to the new life produced by the Holy Spirit within us (Romans 6:6–8).

Christ not only died for us; He now lives in us. This spiritual union is the miracle of grace—the very life of the Son of God flowing through the believer’s heart. To live by faith in Him is to depend completely on His power, His love, and His guidance each day. Everything good within us comes from His transforming presence (John 15:5).

The love of Jesus is the foundation of this new life. He loved us first and gave Himself fully to redeem us. When that truth governs the heart, faith ceases to be theory and becomes a living relationship. True freedom is not doing our own will but reflecting the life of Christ in everything we think, speak, and do (Philippians 1:21).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for giving me new life in Christ. My old self has been crucified, and now Your Son lives in me. Teach me to walk each day by faith, relying on Your love and power. May my life reflect Christ in every moment. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
